These trails, forest roads and wooded paths wander through Prince George's and Charles counties' quiet forests. Each trail has its own flavor.
Our ride combines the orange and blue trails.
The orange trail wanders through damp and marshy areas lined with holly, magnolia and assorted marsh plants and flowers and the blue trail is hilly with several streams and springs.

Occasionally a ride will have to be cancelled or postponed. In the event of any ride status change, ride status will be posted on this page at least 24 hours prior to a published ride start.

Check out the bottom of the ride information page for pictures of some of our previous rides. All photos are taken during actual SMTR events. Please note: if you see a photo of yourself or your family that you don't wish to be shared, contact the person who took the photos, or the SMTR website editor and request that it be removed.

Group rides mean many different horses and people. All SMTR sponsored rides require a negative Coggins to participate. For your convenience, you may bring a copy of your Coggins each year, to remain on file. Coggins status is checked at each ride during registration. Please remember to bring an updated copy each year.

In order to adequately protect your horse and others, SMTR recommends that you follow your veterinarian's advice for protecting  his/her health and safety. That includes de-worming and vaccinations.

SMTR holds no responsibility for your horse's health or safety when participating in our events.
